Special Handling Technician will be responsible for performing industrial labor and other physically demanding work outdoors, under potentially adverse conditions, as well as within the facility/plant work environment. CH #LI-CT1 This operation involves significant hazardous waste handling , including bulk sampling, drum decanting, liquid pumping, tanker cleaning, and confined space entry (CF Space). Tasks require full protective suits and use of equipment such as Super Suckers and Guzzlers. Work is associated with elevated danger and high physical exertion — crews rotate in Ty-Vac suite on 1-hour in/1-hour out shifts due to heat and workload. Materials are wrapped, separated, and transferred to the warehouse for processing. Includes bucket drops, Rotary kiln operations, and baghouse maintenance and line cleaning. Involves handling sulfide materials with variable pH (low/high), which are both air- and water-reactive. Operations occur in bays with tanker feeds directed to the Train 2 unit (Ash/Truck operations deliver and manage tankers).
