About The Position

As our Special Events Coordinator , you’ll help bring Lambs Farm’s events to life—from early planning through execution and follow-up. You’ll coordinate logistics, work closely with sponsors and vendors, and support smooth on-site operations to ensure every event creates a welcoming, memorable experience for guests while supporting our mission-driven revenue goals. This role blends organization, relationship-building, and hands-on event support in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or degree in business, hospitality, or event management preferred)
  • One to two years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, retail, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with guests, vendors, sponsors, and team members
  • Experience using point-of-sale systems and basic sales or expense reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license (IL, IN, or WI) with ability to travel locally as needed
  • Basic computer skills, including email and web-based systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a nonprofit setting or with adults with developmental disabilities is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate event logistics from planning through completion, including vendor coordination, sponsor tracking, and on-site event support
  • Support revenue-generating and fundraising events by tracking budgets, expenses, and post-event feedback
  • Maintain positive relationships with corporate sponsors by fulfilling benefits and tracking deliverables
  • Respond to facility rental inquiries and coordinate booking details for public and corporate clients
  • Represent Lambs Farm at trade shows and community events to promote services and offerings
  • Implement and follow standard operating procedures related to cash handling, inventory control, point-of-sale systems, and sales reporting
  • Support licensing, permits, and compliance requirements related to events and food service operations
  • Assist team members and volunteers during events
  • Collaborate with marketing and development teams on event promotion, fundraising logistics, and business development activities
