About The Position
Special Educators with ABA Training will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing behavior analytic and educational services utilizing functional assessment and analyses, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills consistent with behavior analytic principles. Requirements
- Active, unrestricted certification as a Special Educator in New York State
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related human services field
- Formal training in the analysis of behavior and instructional strategies, training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related disorders, their parents, and other agencies working with client
- Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans and skill acquisition programs (including DTT and naturalistic ABA approaches) for individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors across the age groups
- Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction
- Participation in ongoing in-house training and required professional development
Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 service with the client in the home or school setting based on case schedule
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans (assessments may include but are not limited to: VB-MAPP, AFLS, SKILLS, and FBAs)
- Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment and behavior intervention plans, programs, and stimuli as needed for treatment goals
- Provide services to the individual, family and/or related service providers using evidence-based modalities
- Actively seek parent and/or patient feedback regarding programming and therapy goals
- Complete timely and compliant clinical documentation
- Complete established number of direct service hours based on caseload
- Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, or team meetings as required
- Adhere to ethical standards, licensing requirements, and company policies
