Special Education Tutor (Coverage during Leave)
About The Position
This position is a temporary opportunity covering during a scheduled Leave of Absence. Job: Special Education Tutor Compensation: Codman Academy Charter Public School follows a compensation scale based on education and years of direct experience. An Associates Degree with 1 year experience starts at $47,626, with a Masters Degree with 12 years direct experience starting at $77,245 annually. Hours/Days: Flexible: can be before, during or after school hours; during the week and/or weekends. Location: Boston: local library, community center, community college, or public library To be completed by June 30, 2026, but can extend through summer with approval. Requirements
- Certified by DESE as a Special Education Teacher, grades 5-12
- Experience working with students age 18-22
- Experience with providing ELA, Math and transition services
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 tutoring for a total of 35 hours
- Design instruction based on student IEP, track correspondence, schedule and student progress
