Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide academic support for students with disabilities as outlined in the IEP document. Duties and Responsibilities(Not limited to): The teaching assistant’s role is to support students in the general education classroom. On a daily basis the teaching assistant will be: Re-teaching academic skills Assisting students with the completion of assignments, quizzes, and tests Providing support in the general education curriculum Reporting to the Special Education Liaison assigned to the student(s) Qualifications: Minimum of an associate's degree, bachelor’s degree preferred Excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills Capacity to work as a member of a team Applicant must be a self-starter and flexible Must be the kind of person who is warm, caring, respectful, and has a strong desire to work with students, as well as a willingness to learn Experience Preferable: Experience working with high school students with mild to moderate emotional issues Familiarity with high school curriculum and content areas Schedule: FT 10 Months, 182 Days 180 student days, plus 2 Professional Development days 6.75 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch - M/T/Th/Fr ( 6.25 actual work hours/paid hours) 5 actual work hours/paid hours - Wednesday LSRSD has an attractive benefits package including: health, employer sponsored Health Savings Account, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, 403(b), Dependent Care Account, Flexible Spending Accounts and participation in retirement boards.
