About The Position

The Rite of Passage Team is seeking a Special Education Teacher at The Lewisville Juvenile Treatment Center (L.J.T.C.) in Lewisville, Arkansas. L.J.T.C., located in rural Lafayette County, is dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk young males through a structured environment that promotes self-discipline, self-respect, and motivation. Requirements

Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
Currently have an active Teacher certification in Special Education

Responsibilities

Work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies
Track student attendance
Maintain student grades
Prepare lesson plans
Assist as needed in the classroom setting
