Position Overview Role: Special Education Teacher Location: On-site, Cahokia School District Start Date: As soon as possible Provide instruction in a welcoming, safe, and meaningful environment for students Implement IEPs, accommodations, and specialized instruction Collaborate with the Special Education team, related service providers, and families Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and school-based initiatives Support student growth with evidence-based practices and interventions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid IL PEL teaching license in Special Education LBS1 Certified
• Experience teaching school-aged children with disabilities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in a welcoming, safe, and meaningful environment for students
• Implement IEPs, accommodations, and specialized instruction
• Collaborate with the Special Education team, related service providers, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and school-based initiatives
• Support student growth with evidence-based practices and interventions
