About The Position

University Instructors, LLC is recruiting for immediate placement of a dynamic full-time Special Education Teacher (credentialed or non-credentialed) in Vallejo, CA. In this role, you will: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop curriculum to meet the needs of students Document student grades, evaluations and progress Be responsible for enforcing school-wide student code of conduct to create an environment safe and conducive to learning at all times Create rapport with students, families, community and school staff Model professional and ethical standards when interacting with students, parents, peers and the community

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree and meet ONE of the following requirements:
• Document a minimum of three (3) years of successful full-time classroom experience (or the equivalent in part-time experience) working with special education students. Experience as a special education teacher's aide or paraprofessional is acceptable
• Have completed nine (9) semester credit hours in special education coursework
• Hold ONE of the following majors or at least 18 semester credit hours in ONE of the following subjects: Liberal Studies, Biology, English, History, Mathematics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or Music.
