Special Education Teacher 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year in Hanover Park, IL. Position Details Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Start Date: March 2nd until end of school year Location: Elsie Johnson School with Community Consolidated School District 93 in Hanover Park, IL Role Type: Special Education Teacher in a Self-Contained Classroom Service Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
- Fingerprinting and background check required before start
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students with IEPs in a resource setting
- Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives
