Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time opening in Evanston, IL for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. Position Details Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Start Date: ASAP Location: Washington Elementary School, Evanston/Skokie School District 65 Role Type: LBS1 Special Education Teacher Service Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
- Fingerprinting and background check required before start
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students with IEPs in a resource setting
- Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives
