Requirements

LBS1 certification (or nearing completion by summer)
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (or nearing completion by summer)

Responsibilities

Helping students reach individualized goals—and celebrating every step forward
Creating a classroom where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged
Implementing IEPs with intention and care
Using specialized strategies to support complex sensory, behavioral, and communication needs
Leading and collaborating with paraprofessionals to create a strong, supportive classroom team
