About The Position

Emmanuel Christian School is seeking a Special Education Teacher who is passionate about supporting diverse learners through individualized instruction, collaboration, and a Christ-centered approach to education. This role partners closely with classroom teachers, families, and administrators to ensure students receive the support they need to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The Classroom Teacher provides high-quality, Christ-centered instruction that supports students’ academic growth and spiritual formation. Teachers at ECS integrate biblical worldview into their subject area, foster a culture of respect and responsibility, and partner with families to support student development. This role is foundational in shaping students intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (or relevant experience as determined by administration).
Valid teaching license or ability to obtain (preferred).
Agreement with and commitment to the mission, vision, and doctrinal statement of Emmanuel Christian School.
Ability to integrate faith and learning naturally and authentically.
Strong classroom management skills

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in assigned subject areas.
Integrate biblical worldview thoughtfully into daily teaching.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
Maintain organized lesson plans and instructional materials.
Utilize appropriate educational technology and instructional tools.
Establish and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
Promote student responsibility, collaboration, and respect.
Implement consistent classroom management practices aligned with school culture.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Support students’ spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth.
Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving.
Model Christ-like character in interactions with students and families.
Identify and communicate student needs in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate regularly and proactively with parents/guardians.
Provide updates regarding student progress and behavior.
Partner with families to support student success.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
