Position: Special Education Teacher
About The Position

We are currently seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with both academic and behavioral needs. This role is ideal for a caring, knowledgeable educator who excels in providing personalized instruction to students with diverse learning profiles. The selected teacher will play a key role in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. A strong instructional background, teamwork-oriented mindset, and dedication to student growth are essential for success in this position. As the ideal candidate, you will work with a caseload centered on providing academic support in reading, writing, and math, while implementing and monitoring IEPs that align with individual student goals and district expectations. You will also deliver instruction in social skills, emotional and behavioral regulation, and executive functioning to help students build well-rounded skills. Collaboration is essential, as you will partner with teachers, families, and related service providers to foster inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar instructional role, with strong skills in supporting students with a variety of learning needs
- A valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license is required
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is mandatory
Nice To Haves
- A master’s degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred.
