About The Position

Special Education Teacher 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year in Westchester, IL. Position Details Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday Start Date: As soon as possible until end of school year Location: Westchester Public Schools District 92 1/2 Role Type: Special Education Teacher with K-1st grade Service Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring

Requirements

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
• Fingerprinting and background check required before start
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students with IEPs in a resource setting
• Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress
• Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives
