Special Education Teacher 2025–2026 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Park Ridge, IL for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. Position Details Schedule: Monday - Friday, school hours Start Date: 3/13/2026 - 5/15/2026 Location: Field Elementary School, Park Ridge, IL Role Type: Resource position in an Elementary School, Long-term leave coverage Service Area: Instructional support, IEP collaboration, progress monitoring
Requirements
- Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
- Fingerprinting and background check required before start
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for inclusive education and student-centered practices
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students with IEPs in a resource setting
- Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to individual learning goals
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and school-wide initiatives
