Special Education Teacher (Temporary) Location: Bainbridge Elementary Qualifications: Must hold a valid Indiana teaching license for students with special needs elementary K-5. Must be highly qualified as mandated by the Indiana Department of Education. Knowledge or wiliness to work within the Indiana IEP System. Ability to differentiate instruction to increase the academic skill levels of all students. The candidate must demonstrate effective organization, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills. Work cooperatively with administration to offer resources and support for students in all settings Ability to demonstrate the use of 21st century skills in the classroom. Responsibilities: Provide focused academic support to students. Is able to develop student IEPs, hold annual reviews to meet all requirements, and ensure the student's IEP is focused on attainment of grade appropriate academic standards as defined by the state. Ensure all re-evaluations are completed within the specific timelines. Work collaboratively with other teachers to provide a stimulating teaching and learning environment for students with intensive needs.
