About The Position
BASIS Phoenix South is seeking qualified candidates for a Special Education Teacher to start ASAP! Our Phoenix South campus is a Title I School, which means it serves a high percentage of students from low-income families. Teachers are drawn to teach in Title I schools for a variety of reasons, including the desire to make a difference for high-needs students. The role of the Special Education Teacher is to work directly with students to identify and fulfill needed educational services and supports as part of a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). This position involves participating in IEP meetings and providing support to general education teachers regarding classroom interventions, student accommodations, modifications, and special education requirements.
