The Special Education Teacher position is designed to help students achieve their full potential in intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. This role is part of a certified personnel group and is a bargaining unit position that operates on a 9-month schedule. The teacher will report to the Principal and Assistant Principal and will work closely with district administrators, program coordinators, student service coordinators, special service coordinators, other faculty and staff, parents, and community groups. The position requires compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and includes a variety of responsibilities related to instructional planning, classroom management, case management, and professionalism.
