About The Position

This is a 0.4 FTE continuing contract position for a Special Education Teacher for the Visually Impaired (Pre K - 21) beginning in the 2025-26 school year. Under the direction of the Principal, the elementary teacher is responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students in our elementary schools. This position may include, but not be limited to, the following performance responsibilities, qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities which aligns with the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching.

Requirements

  • Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
  • Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
  • Implement educational programs for students with visual impairments.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
