About The Position
The Special Education Teacher develops and implements an instructional program that meets the needs of students with disabilities. This position requires adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding the provision of services to students with disabilities, maintaining student confidentiality, and collaborating with other educators to deliver individualized education plans (IEPs). The teacher is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing IEPs, compiling progress reports, and completing all required paperwork accurately and timely. The role also involves designing instructional plans based on extensive content knowledge and understanding of students, ensuring that all aspects of the plans are aligned with state standards and adapted for individual student needs. The teacher is expected to maintain a positive learning environment, engage students in learning, and demonstrate strong content knowledge while providing timely feedback to support student learning.
