About The Position

Position Overview: Deliver specialized, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects (grades 6–11) across multiple settings (pull-out, in-class support, or self-contained). Serve as Case Manager by documenting services, monitoring progress, and ensuring IEP development and compliance. Direct paraprofessional support and implement structured classroom management/positive behavior strategies, especially in self-contained settings. Collaborate with the Special Education team, general education staff, and support personnel to promote student inclusion and continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
  • Valid Arizona Special Education Certification covering grades 6 and above (Mild to Moderate, Cross-Categorical, Learning Disability, or Intern/Alternative)
  • Valid Arizona Content Area / Generalist Certification for Grades 6+ (Required)
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology (Required)

  • At least one year of teaching in Special Education (Preferred)
