This offers the chance to engage directly with students who need specialized academic support, supporting them in achieving their learning objectives through strategic intervention and evidence-based instruction. As a SETSS provider with Knowledge Road, you'll deliver individualized and small-group instruction in school settings, collaborating closely with families and school teams to support student advancement and academic growth.

Requirements

NYS Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Must not have been employed by NYC DOE within the last 12 months.
Experience teaching Math and ELA.
Reliable transportation.
NYC DOE fingerprinting status/approval is required, or a willingness to complete them before starting.

Responsibilities

Offer high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students with disabilities, according to their Individualized Education Service Programs (IESP).
Ensure fulfillment of each student's weekly IESP mandates and maintain an intervention schedule coordinated with the school timetable.
Create and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain bi-weekly family communication with clear updates on progress and upcoming steps.
Record service delivery and student performance in Knowledge Road's system with accurate and timely documentation.
Develop and execute engaging and effective lesson plans that address the specific academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.
Work with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for your students.
Monitor and assess student progress, offering regular updates to families and school-based teams.
Participate in IESP meetings as needed, offering expert insights and recommendations to promote student success.
