About The Position

The LifeWorks School in Doylestown, PA is actively hiring a certified Special Education Teacher to teach Science for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year. We are now offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher! The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. Candidates must apply directly on our website at LifeWorks Careers(click CAREERS tab for openings) The Special Education Teacher: provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education required.
  • PA certification in Special Education is required.
  • Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.
