About The Position

Teamwork Therapies is looking for a full-time, part-time, or per diem Special Education Teacher’s Aide for our Pleasanton location in California. We are seeking qualified, motivated, and compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team. We encourage dynamic individuals interested in working with children from 18 months to 36 months in a clinic-based Neuro Diverse classroom environment to apply. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates on therapy needs and are able to address simple to complex problems efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a valid Special Education license
  • Early Childhood Education credits
  • Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher Aide is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions, with sensitivity to individual needs and strengths
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and evidence-based educational and classroom management practices
  • Familiarity with classroom health, safety, and sanitation standards, with the ability to strictly follow all guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification for infants, children and adults, or willingness to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher Aide is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain classroom rules and procedures to support a structured learning environment
  • Follow directions and guidance provided by the lead teacher
  • Plan and facilitate group activities aligned with developmental goals
  • Record observations and daily activities of children during class time
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation as needed
  • Communicate effectively with staff to support each child’s development
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the classroom
  • Must be comfortable with diapering and attending to basic hygiene needs
