PASCO, WASHINGTON 99301 EMAIL [email protected] PHONE 509-549-6700 Open Date: January 20, 2026 Application Deadline/Close Date: January 23, 2026, at 4:00pm or until filled POSITION: Special Education Teacher Resource Room - Bridges LOCATION: Pasco High School and/or McLoughlin Middle School SALARY: Based on the current Certificated Salary Schedule Certificated salary schedule: Salary Schedule Payroll and Benefits: Employee Benefits NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement Minimum of a bachelor’s degree Experience with or willingness to be trained in and implement standards-based IEPs Experience or demonstrated knowledge of implementing multi-tiered interventions for academics and behavior Experience participating in functional behavior assessments Successful experience with creating and implementing individual behavior intervention plans Successful experience or willingness to work and build relationships with at-risk students Successful experience or willingness to work collaboratively with mental health professionals Experience or demonstrated knowledge of implementing multi-tiered interventions for behavior Knowledge of and ability to implement data collection strategies to assist with program development Successful experience communicating and collaborating with teams Successful experience or willingness to work collaboratively with classroom teachers Successful experience with a co-teaching model or commitment to participate in training Willingness to participate in professional learning communities as determined by the building Training and/or experience working with second language learners or willingness to be trained Experience with individual and group counseling models Knowledge of re-education principals or willingness to learn and incorporate into practice Successful experience with or willingness to learn how to implement social skills curriculum The candidate must demonstrate commitment to student success while aligning with state requirements and the school’s guiding principles, vision, and mission. The candidate must also demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for working with all students. The candidate must be willing to participate in required trainings and professional development, implement best practices that foster meaningful learning experiences, work within a system that supports student interventions, and collaborate with relevant staff members to enhance student outcomes. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous successful classroom teaching experience Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish Training in Why Try and/or Social Cognitive training Training in LSCI and/or CPI Previous experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities Computer knowledge and literacy Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled .
