About The Position

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing educational support to students with disabilities within the Bridgeton School District. This role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with other educators and support staff, and ensuring that students receive the necessary accommodations to succeed in their learning environment.

Requirements

• Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate or a Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curricula and teaching strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
