Requirements

  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • High level of personal organization and planning.
  • Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth, openly listening and reflecting on input from others.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, with two years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0; Master's degree preferred.
  • If your GPA is between 2.5 and 3.0, you may submit additional recommendations to be considered.
  • Connecticut requires all teacher to be certified or in the process of obtaining a certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with K-12 students, with two years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and small group instruction using specialized curricula and long-term scope & sequence plans.
  • Assess student progress using varied methods to support growth toward IEP goals.
  • Design and implement goals that align with students' IEPs.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Special Service or the Compliance Coordinator and the school team to improve instructional, culture-building leadership skills.
