Cross Country Education is looking for a seasoned Education Specialist (Mild/Moderate) to provide expert case management and specialized instruction in Downey, CA . Position Overview: Provide specialized academic instruction using a multi-modal collaborative model (co-teaching, direct instruction, and pull-out services) with lesson plans aligned to Common Core State Standards. Lead the development and management of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), conducting assessments and tracking goal progress with high fidelity to ensure mandated accommodations are met. Partner with general education teachers and para-educators to implement inclusive learning environments and provide guidance on data collection across educational settings. Lead IEP meetings and maintain consistent, caring communication with parents, families, and partner agencies to support student well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate)
  • Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD) authorization or equivalent English Learner Certification (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in special education (Highly Preferred)
