About The Position
Close the achievement gap in the heart of Chicago, IL ! Cross Country Education is seeking exceptional LBS1 Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. Position Overview: Provide high-impact "push-in" and "pull-out" services focusing on reading fluency and foundational math. Oversee approximately 20 students, primarily with SLD and Developmental Delays. Design individualized strategies to ensure diverse learners access the general education curriculum and meet students' specific Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Partner with a high-expectations academic team to maintain rigor and student empowerment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) Endorsement
- Experience in evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions
