About The Position
LJES is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher that is enthusiastic and creates a positive learning climate that excites students and fosters an understanding of the subject matter. Above all, we seek candidates who understand and deliver instruction with the belief that every student can achieve at high levels. We are looking for a positive, patient, forward thinking applicant that has strong content knowledge with the ability to provide varied instructional strategies. Teacher candidate must embrace the use of technology and have a strong work ethic. Candidate must have Kentucky Certification in LBD and possess all other requirements according to BCPS. References should be able to speak to your ability to work as a teammate, motivate others, communicate effectively, and your personal growth mindset. Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will begin at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER: To expedite the hiring for this position, the district may apply for a waiver to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services (KRS 160.380).
