About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated SPED ID/MD professional to provide instructional and developmental support to students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and Multiple Disabilities (MD). This role focuses on implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), promoting student learning, communication, and social development, and maintaining a safe and structured classroom environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with students with intellectual and/or multiple disabilities.
• Ability to follow IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a special education classroom setting.
• Coursework or training related to Intellectual Disabilities or Multiple Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support students with ID/MD in alignment with IEP goals.
• Assist with academic instruction, behavioral interventions, and classroom activities.
• Implement individualized strategies to enhance communication, social interaction, and independence.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and school staff.
• Monitor and document student progress and classroom observations.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Follow applicable special education policies and regulations.
