About The Position

Lionsgate Academy is a Public Charter School that specializes in educating students living with Autism or other learning differences. SPECIAL EDUCATION DCD TEACHER - POSITION: Teach one to two general education subjects (i.e. Math, English, Art, Social Studies) to Special Education nonverbal/limited verbal autistic learners Collaborate closely with Speech, OT and Case Managers No case management responsibilities Teach differentiated lessons to 3 separate groups (20 students total) with 5-8 class size OUR SCHOOL: Small case loads: Case Manager positions (no teaching) Special Education Teachers (no case managing) Due process days and Mentor support OUR STAFF: Collaborate daily with team members and are passionate about the work they do Have full benefit options including medical, vision, disability, HSA, FSA, 403b and free dental 80 hours Paid Time Off in the school year Work in a fun and rewarding community Have summers off and the opportunity to work Extended School Year WE OFFER: Salary Range: $37,500 - $70,000 depending on education and experience Similar positions: Special Education Teacher, DCD, ASD, Transitions

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education
• If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 Teaching License
• Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks

Nice To Haves

• Masters degree in Special Education
• Possession of a valid license in Autism Spectrum Disorder, in process of gaining ASD Licensure, or hold certificate with willingness to pursue licensure
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
