Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our STRIVE Program at Woodville Elementary School. STRIVE is our districtwide substantially separate program designed to meet the needs of students with Autism through highly individualized, evidence-based instruction. This position is for a Kindergarten classroom serving six students, each with unique strengths and varying inclusion opportunities as outlined in their IEPs. The program is supported by a BCBA who collaborates closely with classroom staff to develop, implement, and refine Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. Our STRIVE classrooms also benefit from robust paraprofessional support, ensuring a high staff-to-student ratio and allowing for meaningful small-group and one-on-one instruction. STRIVE uses the ACE ABA Software System developed by the New England Center for Children (NECC), providing educators with a comprehensive and research-based framework for data collection, instructional planning, and skill development. The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative, supportive team and committed to promoting student growth, independence, and inclusion in the school community.
