About The Position
The Special Education Resource Teacher will be responsible for determining the instructional needs of students based on IEP assessment data and district curriculum. This position involves providing direct and/or supplemental instruction to students, evaluating their current levels of academic performance, and participating on a Multi-Disciplinary Team. The teacher will manage student behavior to maximize engagement in learning and apply knowledge of Co-teaching and PBIS best practices to meet student needs. Coordination with general education teachers, parents, and building staff is essential to facilitate student progress and growth. The role also includes facilitating parent meetings such as parent-teacher conferences and IEPs, and effectively communicating with students and parents regarding students' goals and progress.
