About The Position

St. Matthew School, a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and the dignity of every learner, is seeking a full-time Resource / Special Education Teacher. This is a key role for an experienced, licensed educator who can bring structure, clarity, and strong practices to our special education program. The Resource Teacher will provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs, develop and implement individualized plans, and ensure compliance with required standards. This role also includes working closely with classroom teachers to support accommodations and differentiation, partnering with families, and establishing clear systems for progress monitoring and communication. The teacher will play an important leadership role in strengthening and guiding the program moving forward. Candidates must hold a valid state Special Education teaching license and previous experience is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with a commitment to Catholic education and a belief in the God-given dignity and potential of every student.
