Special Education Resource Teacher
About The Position
Minimum Qualifications: SC certification in Generic, Multi-categorical, or LD required with a strong GPA in relevant course work Experience with teaching special education students preferred Enthusiasm for teaching disabled students Exceptional knowledge of the needs of special students Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques Skill interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general public Willingness to work with all staff members in promoting school wide programs Outstanding references from current and former supervisors Satisfactory background report Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. Employment Status: Exempt Length of Contract: 190 days, in accordance with the Rock Hill School's adopted calendar. For the 2025-2026 school year, the contract days will be pro-rated based on the approved start date. Start Date: Determined by Human Resources Application Requirements Applicants must submit official college transcripts, three professional references, and a copy of the appropriate credentials as part of the application process. Pre-Onboarding Requirements As a condition of employment and prior to onboarding, the district will conduct a criminal history background check. The recommended candidate will be required to provide personal information necessary to complete the background check such as date of birth, gender, and race to remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
