About The Position
The Special Education Paraprofessional position is designed to support students with disabilities in an elementary school setting. This role involves working closely with Special Education teachers and staff from Regular Education Programs to adapt assignments, assessments, and classroom activities for students with disabilities. The paraprofessional will provide instructional support services as identified for the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and assist students individually or in small groups with academics and behavior modifications. The position requires a commitment to enhancing teaching and learning opportunities for children and a willingness to participate in training to improve skills in working with students.
