About The Position

Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional Location: Eastpointe High School Minimum Job Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or 60 Semester Hours or passed the ETS ParaPro Assessment Experience with technology Experience working with students or in a school setting Ability to work cooperatively as member of a team and ability to work independently Medical training to support a student with a seizure disorder Essential Performance Responsibilities: Demonstrates excellent reading, writing, and communication skills, and demonstrates ability to work effectively with students and adults Maintains effective professional communication with classroom teachers Works with students on an individual basis or in small groups to provide direct academic support services Assists students in bringing their achievement standards to proficiency levels Monitors student achievement Maintains the necessary records in order to be in compliance with State Grant Funded guidelines Promotes the student's self-esteem through success in the Tiered Intervention Program Maintains appropriate confidentiality on all matters related to their work Assists in management / organization of materials, supplies and equipment (inventory) Participates in professional development as required Selection Committee Evaluated By: Supervising Administrator Salary Data: As per Negotiated Agreement with the EFE,

Requirements
