About The Position
The Special Education Paraprofessional plays a vital role in supporting students with unique needs by providing assistance in areas such as academic growth, behavior management, mobility, self-care, communication, and social development. This position ensures students can fully engage and thrive in the classroom environment.
Requirements
- Highly Qualified Status (Two year degree or higher, 60 college credits toward a degree, or a passing score on the MN approved ParaEducator exam (offered upon hire within the district))
- Willingness to work with and show respect for students with special needs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to follow the teacher's plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
