About The Position

Function: To assist the classroom teacher in the implementation of educational needs for special needs students. One to one behavior supports to implement behavior support plan.

Requirements

  • AA degree, two years of full-time college or a passing grade on the paraprofessional exam
  • Ability to organize and communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow directions and learn new procedures
  • Ability to provide care for student’s physical needs
  • Ability to project a friendly and supportive attitude
  • Ability to obtain a CPR and First Aid training certification
  • Attend NVCPI Training
  • Ability to learn and follow delegable medical procedures
  • Proven work ethic
  • Successful completion of Oregon School based fingerprinting and criminal history verification as deemed by State of Oregon legislation

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of the students
  • Maintain data and record keeping of the IEP
  • Other duties as assigned
