About The Position
The Special Education Paraprofessional - 1:1 will work directly with the designated student to provide behavioral and academic support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- CPI Certification or willingness to be trained on-site.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral and academic assistance to students, under the direction of the teacher and principal.
- Provide prompting and redirection for engagement in academic tasks and other school activities.
- Develop positive relationships with students and staff.
- Effectively follow class management procedures, as well as individual behavioral plans.
- Assist with student hygiene needs, as needed.
