The Special Education Paraeducator assists teachers in providing instruction to students with disabilities at the Middle School level. This role involves demonstrating the ability and willingness to perform assigned duties, assisting with instructional material preparation, evaluating and monitoring student work, and implementing behavior management techniques. The paraeducator also handles various classroom clerical and organizational duties, attends professional development, and maintains confidentiality. Physical and health needs of students, including feeding, toileting, transferring, and therapy exercises, are also part of the role. The position requires regular, dependable in-person attendance and the ability to perform identified tasks and physical requirements.
