Special Education LD Instructor
About The Position
Mandan Public Schools is currently seeking a Special Education LD Instructor. This position will provide support and instruction to students having academic, physical, and/or behavioral needs with a focus on students with learning disabilities. Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Requirements
- Must hold appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board with a Special Education Endorsement or eligible for a plan on file.
Responsibilities
- Use individualized academic strategies for reinforcement and instruction techniques to keep students on the path toward greatness.
- Create and execute individual education plans for each of the students in your care.
- Communicate with other staff and family members about each student’s progress and programing needs.
- Lead or participate in IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled .
- Invite family members to participate in each student’s educational progress.
- Create and distribute progress reports.
- Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
