About The Position
The Special Education (Itinerant) Teacher for Hearing Impaired/Deaf is responsible for developing and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments. This role involves addressing the educational, communication, and transitional needs of students, consulting with teachers, administrators, and families, and traveling to multiple building sites to provide direct support and collaboration. The teacher will assist regular classroom teachers in implementing appropriate educational programming and accommodations, serve as the Teacher of Record for designated students, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding special education services.
