The employee serves as a teacher leader in specialized instruction for students with disabilities. The instructional coach facilitates professional development related to the school and district’s instruction and curriculum goals aligned with demonstrated instructional/professional needs. As a leader and specialist, the coach works under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Services, and supports teachers and support staff in identifying, developing, and implementing curriculum, assessment, and instructional strategies designed to improve the learning of students with disabilities. As an instructional coach, the employee may work in a variety of elementary, secondary, individual or team teaching settings.
