About The Position

Special Education Elementary School Language and Learning Disabilities (LLD) Mild/Moderate 2025-2026 School Year Claremont Elementary School CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS Valid New Jersey K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct ongoing assessments to identify students’ strengths, challenges, and individual learning preferences. Design and deliver instructional interventions using evidence-based practices and principles of Universal Design for Learning. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure continuous growth and improvement. Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and partnership in supporting students’ academic and social-emotional development. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Develop and implement IEPs tailored to the unique needs of each student. Provide direct instruction and support in a variety of subjects to students with mild/moderate disabilities. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment. Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education. Proficiency with instructional technology. Spanish speaking a plus

Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
