The Special Education Due Process Docket Coordinator is a senior-level legal assistant who performs advanced case management tasks related to the special education due process hearing program within the Office of the General Counsel. The docket coordinator is an individual contributor on the special education legal team and reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Special Education and Dispute Resolution. Required tasks for this position include ensuring that all requests for due process hearings filed with TEA are docketed and assigned to a hearing officer, reviewing and docketing information relating to pre-trial and final orders, reviewing invoices, drafting correspondence and other legal documents, performing legal research, and preparing certified hearing records for appeals. This position may supervise the work of others. Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.
