Requirements

  • Master's degree in Special Education required
  • A valid Michigan Special Education teaching credential
  • 3-5 years providing direct services to clients as a Special Education Teacher
  • 1-3 years of administrative/supervisory/compliance experience
  • hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (25/50k liability coverage)
  • clear a current background check (FBI & Ichat)

Responsibilities

  • Creates and implements system supports to be used in the classroom to support academic, behavior, communication, and social skills (including visual schedules/supports, academic tasks, work systems, social stories, and communication tools).
  • Provides hands-on training and coaching to school staff on classroom systems and supports.
  • Participates in LRE/ABS team meetings related to students as requested by the LRE.
