About The Position
The Special Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing school special education programs in collaboration with the SPED Department and school personnel. This position requires a Master's degree and/or National Board Certification, along with a Louisiana Teaching Certificate and Special Education certification. The role involves monitoring instruction, facilitating the development and implementation of IEPs, and ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. The coordinator will also provide professional development for staff and collaborate with various stakeholders to support students with disabilities.
