About The Position

The Special Education ASD Teacher for Grades K-1 is a leave replacement position at Paul Robeson Elementary School. The role involves working with students with autism, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. The position is set for the 2025-2026 school year and requires a strong commitment to supporting students with special needs in an elementary school setting.

Requirements

• NJ Teacher of students with disabilities AND Teacher of Preschool Through Grade 3 certificate OR
• NJ Teacher of students with disabilities AND Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6 certificate OR
• NJ Teacher of the Handicapped.
• Experience working with students with autism and ABA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support students with autism in grades K-1.
• Implement ABA strategies to enhance learning and behavior.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive environment.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
